Australia Beat India To Win The U19 World Cup 2024

Australia beat India to win the U19 World Cup 2024. Australia have now won this tournament for the 4th time. The Final match was played on Sunday, 11 February 2024 at Willowmoore Park, Benoni. It was a repeat of the ODI World Cup 2023 final match, where Australia had beaten India.

Australia had won the toss and chose to bat first. Australia set a total of 253 runs for 7 wickets in 50 overs. Australian batter Harjas Singh scored a fifty (55 off 64). Opener Harry Dixon contributed 42 runs while Oliver Peake scored an unbeaten 46 runs. Captain Hugh Weibgen missed on a fifty and made 48 runs. Indian bowler Raj Limbani picked up 3 wickets.

The Indian U19 team didn’t have a good start in the chase. They lost early wickets. Opener Adarsh Singh missed on his half-century and was dismissed on 47 runs. Murugan Abhishek showed some fighting spirit at the end and contributed 42 runs. Other batters could not contribute many runs. India got all out on 174 runs. Australia won the match by 79 runs.
