Rohit Sharma is set to captain India in the T20 World Cup 2024. The T20 World Cup is set to be held in June this year in USA and West Indies. BCCI Secretary Jay Shah declared that the Indian cricket team is going to play under the captaincy of Rohit Sharma in the T20 World Cup. Hardik Pandya is named as Vice-captain of the team. Rahul Dravid will be the head coach.

Jay Shah was talking in a program where Saurashtra cricket ground was renamed as Niranjan Shah cricket ground. Ending the suspense on captaincy he said that it is a collective decision that Rohit Sharma will be the all-format captain and all the selectors fully agree with the decision. He further stated that Rohit’s brilliant century got India out of trouble in the match against Afghanistan, his qualities are unquestionable. We won ten matches back to back and only lost in the final. It is part and parcel of the game. He promised that India will be the winner of T20 World Cup in Barbados under the captaincy of Rohit Sharma.
