India had scored 326 runs for 5 wickets on the first day. They resumed their innings in the second day from 326/5 and reached a huge total of 445 runs. Ravindra Jadeja got out on a score of 112 runs. Then R Ashwin scored 39 runs, Dhruv Jurel and Bumrah scored 46 and 26 runs respectively. Mark Wood got 4 wickets and Rehan Ahmed picked up 2 wicket for England.

With the help of Ben Duckett’s century, England reached a total of 207 runs losing 2 wickets. R Ashwin and Jasprit Bumrah each took 1 wicket for India. However, Ashwin has withdrawn from this Test match due to a family medical emergency.
