The First Anderson-Tendulkar Test series, played between host England and India, has recently concluded. Named after legendary English cricketer James Anderson and Indian cricketer Sachin Tendulkar, this series was one of the best Test series in recent times. The series ended in a 2-2 draw, with India winning the last nail-biting match.
Mohammed Siraj was the star for India in this Test series. He was the best bowler of the series, claiming 23 wickets. Many were surprised but not those who have seen him play. Siraj bowled with lot of effort and passion throughout the series. He was a force to be reckoned with.
The series had some great moments for Siraj. He was especially good in the last Test. On the last day England needed 35 runs to win. But Siraj took 3 quick wickets and turned the game around. India won by 6 runs. He finished that match with a 5 wicket haul and was the Player of the Match. His hard work and desire to win was the reason for India’s win.

Throughout the 5 matches Siraj was a workhorse. He bowled over 1,100 balls which was the most by any bowler in the series. He showed great strength and didn’t get tired. He was always ready to bowl with the same intensity. He was the leader of the fast bowlers especially when Jasprit Bumrah was not playing. His performance showed he can lead the bowling attack on his own.
